Overview

This is the sequel to our Axure Essentials course. It is designed for competent users of Axure RP Pro who now want the level of skills required to meet many of the prototyping challenges presented by working in the User Experience Design (UXD) community.

The training is provided in conjunction with AXtrainers — Axure's only approved training provider in Europe.

Want something more basic? Try Axure Essentials.

"Their examples stuck in your mind and exercises really did teach you how to use this amazing tool in an efficient and skilful way."
–Senior Usability Engineer, The Usability Lab.

This seminar is aimed at

This course is for those who can already design, specify and generate basic prototypes in Axure RP pro and who now want to learn how to produce complex prototypes by exploiting the advanced features of Axure RP pro.

You'll benefit from this course if you are part of a user experience design team and need to be able to produce sophisticated prototypes. It is a hands-on course and is most effective for delegates who have day-to-day responsibility for creating prototypes. Typical job titles include: User Experience Designers, Information Architects, Interaction Designers, Usability Engineers and Interface Developers.

Pre-requisites

  • Completion of our Axure Essentials course, or an equivalent level of expertise. This means you need to be comfortable with: Generating prototypes; customising annotations and generating specifications; using multiple masters; and (most importantly) using conditional logic.
  • You must bring with you a laptop with the latest version of Axure RP Pro installed.

You will learn how to

  • Produce sophisticated prototypes, including those suitable for Rich Internet Applications (RIA).
  • Customise prototype specifications.
  • Set up reusable asset libraries.
  • Use Axure RP pro in conjunction with other related software.
  • Use Axure RP pro on collaborative projects.

Axure RP pro features covered

  • Using dynamic panels including simulating animations.
  • Advanced interactions using global variables.
  • Creating and managing custom widget libraries.
  • Collaborative functions.
  • Customising specification outputs including integration with custom MS Word templates.
  • Inserting media files.
  • Using in-line frames and links to external files.
